This Portuguese restaurant on the bustling Austin Blvd in Island Park is truly exceptional. Despite its small and unassuming appearance, it offers a delightful surprise once you step inside. The cozy atmosphere created by the decor and friendly staff enhances the dining experience. The dishes, such as the pork and clams and meat platter, were all incredibly delicious. Overall, I had a perfect 10/10 experience at this restaurant.
We had reservations for my wife, our two daughters, and myself at 5 o'clock for my wife's birthday. The food was delicious and well-prepared. The portions were generous and we left feeling satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant!

a taberna is always a good choice for dinner. the burrata salad was an excellent choice, as well as the stuffed Portuguese whitefish dinner. it was a very pleasant evening.
Great food. Everything was on the mark. Steak sandwich was a home run, the bread came out crispy but soft. Loved that. Desert and coffee was great as well. Will be back.
