This restaurant was recommended by our camping and we really enjoyed it! My husband had the parillade and I had the smoked salmon salad starter followed by the gambas...and the food was gorgeous. The location in the Port of Argeles is lovely and the decor of the restaurant is beautiful (buddha, lovely relaxing yet modern colours). Our waitress was very smiley and lovely.To our minds, the only areas to improve would be:1. given how delicious the food for adults is, the children's menu is a bit disappointing (nuggets and chips, which is pretty basic or calamari which I do not know any young children to eat). In the end, we decided to order an adult meal of duckand chips for our 3 year old son....
We have had a drink here many times given it's location on the marina edge with views of the hills in the distance. We always thought it was a very pleasant bar offering snack like foods but it would appear they have upped the food side of the business now as they are offering an a la carte menu as well as two set menus, two courses for 25 Euro and a 3 course one at 30 Euro.For starters, we had the Catalane salad with anchovies and the Foie Gras, both of which were very good. My father, mother and myself had dinner at Abalounge. The food was excellent, the goats cheese salad was very well presented and tasted wonderful. My mother had the Gambas which were huge and according to her one of the best she had had. Father and I had the steak with Frites a la Maison, the steaks were cooked perfectly. My father also had the apple tart (tart normandie) which he said was delicious, again wine and coffee were good and the price was approx €19 each less drinks.We would highly recommend this restraunt for the food, service and atmosphere. We will be going again before we leave, also you can just have drinks while watching the comings and goings in the Port.
We stayed in Port Argeles and this bar was very close to our apartment, lovely surroundings/decor, bar and small restaurant. We had foie gras and entrecote steak and the gourmande salad which had foie gras, maigret de canard, beef all beautifully presented. Went back at least 4 times on a long weekend. The owner spoke English

Visited last week for drinks by the port. Super, the guy who served us was friendly, the place was clean and comfortable. The outside area was calm and so relaxing. I would definatly go back. I only had drinks so can't comment on the food but hopefully will go back for a meal when I next visit Argeles.
Very pleasant evening meal at this restaurant overlooking the port. Excellent presentation of the food, 3 course menu for just 21€ and they sell Hoegaarden rose on draught! Friendly staff make it even better. Steak was perfectly cooked to my liking (tres blue) Nice evening out
We've visited Abalounge in and out of season for many years and never been disappointed. Whether for a meal, some tapas or just a drink you'll be hard pushed to find nicer staff, better food or more beautiful views in the surrounding area. Congratulations to all!
Friendly staff, English spoken, fabulous food. Vegetarian, seafood & steak. Clean toilets. At the harbour of La Racou with great views. Highly recommended. We will be going back

The menu changes from time to time with seasonal veg, potatoes etc. Really fresh food and so tasty. Service is great
