Horrendous experience. Arrived to find menus printed on A4 paper. The menu advertised online was cancelled. Pizzas were £18 so we though they must be good that would be a price stretch for London, but as it was a stately home thought it must be good. But the Pizza was tasteless and looked awful. The service was sour, and slow. The pasta was expensive and crusty from being cooked ages ago but left under heating lamps. I have been to this restaurant in the past and it has always been very good....until today. This was the first time I'd been back in around 18 months and the difference was sad. The dining room and the setting are both beautiful but not the food or the service. The menu mainly consists of burgers or pizza with sausage and mash thrown in which we chose. And that's what came. Sausage, mash and gravy. No green veg. We asked for a pepper grinder. We were told they don't have those. We skipped pudding and went straight to coffee. Lovely location and good food totally let down by the awful service. Not what one expects from a place affiliated to a 5* hotel. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks and sugar for the coffee. Our food arrived with no cutlery. Drinks eventually turned up half way through the meal. Very disappointing.

Frozen food served on a plate. Staff were friendly but very slow. Do not recommend if you want a good meal, I could have made a better meal at home. Caesar salad tasted off, burger patty was frozen, and fish did not taste right. Every single person in our party struggled to finish their meals.
Nice restaurant and staff extremely good. However, menu was limited and our meal was not very tasty, we had a fancy fish chips but the fish was tasteless and the chips a little watery. Wine was good. Disappointed because it is expensive.
We were staying in the hotel with our three young kids for my wife's 40th Birthday. The staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough for the kids and us as a family, particularly Agis. The food was great as well
