We came here for a family function because we wanted to try something different and have never had Afghani food before. The restaurant has a nice decor that gives it an authentic feel. We ordered a combination of different Entrees, mains and desserts and were not disappointed! The food was fresh and flavorful without being too heavy or spicy which was fantastic. The staff were very friendly and accommodating (we had a vegan diner) which really completed the experience. Was quite early around 6:30 but got quite busy by 7:30.
Food was good, but servings were quite small for the price. Most of our group were still hungry after our meal, we did just have a main meal, we had to fill up on naan bread. Waiter wasn't very friendly and didn't know, or even ask any of the other staff, the ingredients of the naan bread. These days I think it is important for staff to know, or at least try to find out, the ingredients of the menu, due to so many allergies. Don't think I'll be going back, sorry.
I went to Afghan Village restaurant for a birthday function. The waiter was attentive, and the environment was very nicely decorated. The restaurant had a dark mood from the outside but once you sit down it was very homely. Super healthy cuisine was served such as rice and meats, being Afgani it felt very organic.
We've been to many Afghan restaurants in Melbourne (Dangenong), but Afghan Village is our favorite! The food reminded me of home;it's authentic, incredibly fresh & so tasty! The owners are very welcoming and kind! 5 stars from us (Afghan tourists from Holland) :)

Small restaurant, tables are nicely decorated with tablecloths. Nick and his staff are doing a fine job. Good service, excellent recommendation, good food and it is not too expensive. Dessert was offered but the house for free...and it was very good!

Afghan Village has great food, delightful and helpful staff and is well located in Camberwell. Flavours used in this cooking are really pleasant and offer something a little different from the norm.
Food taste like home made food, I liked Kabouli Polo is the real deal. Ask for Ferni with Green tea. Great choice of veggie dishes.

Friendly, efficient staff. We had a mixed grill and it was superb. Will come again to try out more of their interesting menu
