Food, was amazing, service, was amazing, layout and decor is also very classy. Price is not too steep either. My only gripe is a pretty big one. They didn't update their online menu so the beef tartare is no longer on the starters and the bread and butter pudding and the apple crumble are missing from the Sunday menu. Essentially the rest of the menu is pretty good but if you have your taste buds set on some items like we did, call in advance to ensure the menu you've seen on their website is what you'll experience on your visit.

We experienced a stunning breakfast, for a large party of 8. Bright, clean festive surroundings, with wonderful service, especially as we were lucky to have Nikki look after us. She was kind and patient throughout the 2 hours we spent at Aurum. The food was beautifully presented, and tasted as good as it looked. Well worth it for a special occasion..we will definitely visit again!!

Had a delicious meal at lunch, the bi folding doors were open leading out to the front terrace with views of Southend seafront. Service was great. Food was absolutely delicious. If you like a fine dining experience with a sea view in Southend I would recommend a visit.
I absolutely adore Aurum. It is without a doubt the top restaurant in Southend. The steaks, seafood, and starters are all incredibly delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. It's the perfect spot for a special occasion or a romantic dinner.
