We started with cheese curds, an adult grilled cheese, and a rich, delicious burger. The cheese curds were absolutely delightful! As a Wisconsin native, I consider cheese curds a staple of the Midwest, and the garlic batter surrounding them was fantastic. My burger was also impressive, fully loaded and bursting with flavor. We couldn't resist getting two pieces of cake to take home, which we enjoyed that evening while watching the new Mario movie. The carrot cake was my favorite – it never disappoints. Grabbed some dinner here right before they closed. The inside has lots of character with local artwork, and cabin diner feel. They have a pretty great selection in their menu. I got a salad and my husband got a chicken sandwich. They are very generous with their portions, and everything we got was delicious. Highly recommend it. Also, thank you to Eric, he took our order. The best burger joint in Ajo. The portions are very satisfying and the flavors are delicious. The avocado burger topped with mushrooms, pickles, red onions, and some habanero hot sauce, along with crispy seasoned fries, and an ice cold Corona and lime had me stuffed! The owner, Eric, came over to introduce himself and check on us during our meal. Our waitress was very friendly and service was fast. We definitely camev at a good time! Horrible service! I ordered 2 veggie burgers and jalapeno poppers. I even pointed to it on the menu while ordering. We got 2 cheeseburgers and no jalapeno poppers. I do understand they are very busy but how can u make this kinda mistake? They were not even apologetic for the wrong order. Fries were almost burnt! I regret stopping here for our Anniversary lunch. One of the few places we found in Ajo that is open most days or early evenings. The food is delicious. I had one of the various burgers and a chef's salad later in the evening. The owner is super nice and the atmosphere is uptown. We will be back around in the next few years during what we now call our traditional visits to Ajo and Jerome, AZ. P.S. Stopped in for dinner on our way home from our trip and everyone in my group thought the food was great including my two kids. The burgers were delicious and so were the sweet potato fries. The service was awesome and our waiter was very friendly.
