On another note, many diners had walkers and wheelchairs, and we were more than willing to accommodate them during dinner. However, I found myself wondering whether the restaurant complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, as there’s not much space for these guests to navigate comfortably. Lastly, my friend who made the reservation through Open Table felt embarrassed by our experience and expressed her concerns to Michael, only to be marked as a “no-show.” I genuinely wish we had been. As for wheelchair accessibility, those with walkers and wheelchairs might struggle to dine here, as there isn’t enough room to move around the restaurant smoothly.
The food was satisfactory, and the waitress was very kind and accommodating. The interior ambiance was also pleasant. However, it was surprising for an Italian restaurant to not offer any pizza. We ended up with three different bills after splitting the tip among three people, which was supposed to total around $58 each. The next day, I noticed I was charged $89, my friend was charged $130, and another friend was undercharged at $49. We have no idea how this discrepancy occurred, as it didn’t match what we agreed to pay. We hope to resolve this issue, but it's quite frustrating and unprofessional, especially for a high-end restaurant in Palatine.
WE ARE REGULARS FOR A REASON! My husband and I have been coming to Agio for many years. When family comes in from out of town we bring them here for consistently great food and professional service. When it is just the two of us, we opt for the convivial atmosphere of the beautiful bar. Bartender Patrick has a gift for making all customers, new and old, feel welcome. We also like talking with other staff members, particularly Leo, Lisa and others. Everything we order is good, but the daily fish specials are superb!
I had no idea this restaurant was here, and I’m so glad I discovered it! Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was lovely. Our server was fantastic as well. I can't wait to go back again soon. I usually don’t take pictures of my food, and I regret not doing so this time because I wasn’t really thinking about photography while we were eating. Amazing dining experience at Agio Italian Bistro. Perfect atmosphere (including the soft tunes of Sam Cooke, Al Green, and more as background music), excellent wait staff, and delicious food cooked to perfection. It was hard to choose with so many tempting menu options, but the Lobster Angelica did not disappoint. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

Calamari was very fresh and service was excellent despite how I appeared , baggy clothes and no haircut. Still got great service Price per person: $20–30
