What made everything fantastic was the experience itself. The waitress and servers assist were phenomenal turns out they were brand new . The owner was there helping, and it’s clear that his passion for great service transcends throughout the staff. The steps of service were well timed , and while I felt like my chicken wasn’t cooked enough personal tastes it was by no means raw) I asked the server to have the cook throw the chicken on the grill for a little longer and they actually made me a whole new dish . Great Italian from the Hill in St Louis on the Illinois side of the river!. It 's a bargain for the quality and quantity of food. We eat here about twice a month and we ALWAYS have great food. I 'm a big foodie . We have lived in Chicago, Denver and CA, and our family has owned Italian restaurants, this is some of the best food we have had. You can dress up and spend a lot, OR you can come in for the $8 spicy meatball appetizer (or similar great deals) in the bar, some warm bread and a glass of wine and feel very satisfied. the second visit was pretty good. last week we went back to dinner a mother and had a very nice dinner. we tried the tilapia in the Marinara sauce and the garnelen diavolo, both very good. the portion size of the tilapia was somewhat small for the price, but the taste was excellent. I also really enjoyed the garlic caesar salat. everything about dinner was very good. then we ordered a dessert and the dings are a little slow. the tiramisu and ricotta cakes were wonderful, but they took about 25 minutes to arrive, which seemed unusually slow as the amount of food was quite well diluted. as good as 25 years ago! we really enjoyed eating good every time at agostinos and eating excellent service. we like to have special events here. the prices are not cheap, but the food is good and the service was excellent. they treat them especially, so we go there. would be highly recommended for couples for special events, etc. we try different entrees most paints and were not disappointed, and eating is well done every time.
Ordered take out thinking i'd grab a quick bite of Italian. Grilled chicken fettuccine...pretty hard to mess that up. Straight to the point, it was not good. But the owner made it right. The positives...great location, excellent menu. Kind of a divey old Italian joint vibe. The kind of place you really want to be delicious. To be fair, dining is is probably an entirely different experience.
The most amazing Italian food hands down! Service is excellent and although it can take a bit to get the food, the food is worth the wait. I order from here and have eaten here many times. it is a favorite. I can't say enough good things about them. They have amazing meals, love the sides, and the desserts are divine. I am trying to try the entire menu Lol.
great restaurant. this is my favorite place to eat. eating is fantastic. the ambiente is also a wonderful experience. the owner makes you like a family. all waiting staff are attentive to their needs. 5 stars for me.
