Ainoya Restaurant - Tisch resevieren

This has been our family's first choice for Japanese for years now. I have travelled the world to great sushi destinations and Ainoya can hold its own for freshness, taste and service. Great as a couple and even better with friends or family. Order lots of entrés to share and get a main for yourself. Highlights are the Kingfish carpaccio, beef tataki, broiled scallops. And don't miss the aburi sushi - particularly the scallops. Family run, worth reserving on the weekend. I've had more high-end, creative sushi but that comes at a price. You aren't going here for the ceremony or décor. Ainoya is good value for the honest, high quality meals that they produce.

I have been dining here for years and have always had a very enjoyable experience. The food is great very fresh and tasty. The staff are very nice and efficient. If you get a chance try out the shoes off traditional Japanese seating. You do not have take your shoes off if you do not want to they also have normal seats. Make sure you book especially on the weekend it is very popular. I am looking forward to my next visit.

There are so many delicious things on the menu that it is hard to narrow down what to order. Maybe best to go in groups so you can order many more dishes. The food is so fresh and cooked (or uncooked!!) perfectly. Gorgeous Japanese flavours! It's been an institution in Kirribilli for years. Highly recommend!

Tasty Japanese with very friendly staff. We had dinner on a Friday night, the food was delicious. We had the miso eggplant, gyoza, soft shell crab hand rolls, spicy tuna rolls, tofu in miso and the ocean trout sashimi. On the day we visited, this place was good, no more, no less. The food was actually great, but there was a lack of energy that evening. A little more attentiveness next time, please.

try the unagi it's really good. The sushi is fresh, made by order directly. the price is quite a bit over pricey.
