For 6-7 years I have wanted to go and try out Aizle and last night I finally got my chance. It was so worth the wait. Every dish was beautifully executed to the finest, minute detail. The staff were so friendly, enthusiastic and you could just tell that they love working there. Shout out to Tess who was smiling all the way through the dining room all night. She came over to clear my plates the most out of all of the serving staff and she always made a point of asking how it was. Such enthusiasm and passion is hard to come by these days and I really appreciated it. We live in Edinburgh and 5 of us went to Aizle for a birthday dinner, the second time in a few months. The setting is relaxed, the staff friendly and very well informed, and the 8-course tasting menu (with an extra cheese course) is amazing. There was not a single course that we didn’t really like (rarely happens even in a 3- or 4-course meal), and the accompanying wines were excellent. Certainly the meal was of Michelin-star quality. All in all, this was an amazing and really enjoyable dinner. We will be back – and will also try to make an excuse to try Stuart Ralston’s other (new) fine-dining experience at Lyla.
Wednesday night marked another fantastic visit to Aizle and each time, hubby and I agree the whole experience is just a dream super friendly, welcoming, incredible food and wine, fabulous service it was a birthday occasion and we left feeling very spoiled it really is a special place! The 7 course tasting menu was exceptional! And the paired wines to match also fabulous and all served with passion, flair and a relaxed professionalism that made it all seem effortless culinary perfection at its absolute best! And a huge thank you to the wonderful, very talented team that make it happen!
Incredible food in a unique setting. I had visited the building earlier in the week during the day and was surprised to see the area again repurposed as a restaurant in the evening. A visually stunning meal with a variety of snacks to start off the meal all presented beautifully. You can tell the chefs care deeply about the provenance of their ingredients and it shows on the menu and on the pallet. We ate at this restaurant a few years ago when it was in a different location, and at the time I can truthfully say it was up there with one of the best meals i have had anywhere in the world, so we had to go again, we were not disappointed, the atmosphere is relaxed the staff so friendly and the food was beyond good , no words could tell anyone how good this place is , just go and enjoy every second !!!
We truly enjoyed our dinner at Azile. It was by far the best meal of our trip: it was more than a meal, it was an experience. Each dish was outstanding with a unique blending of flavor profiles presented beautifully. It was definitely better than a few one star Michelin restaurants we have visited. The wine pairing which further enhanced our experience. Service was professional and friendly.
We did dinner and wine pairing. Dinner started absolutely amazing until we got to the bread course. Everything else from that point onwards (including the two main courses) was a disappointment. The fish course was overcooked, the duck course was undercooked. The staff didn’t even bother to remedy the situation. Very disappointed given the more than 500 GBP bill for a dinner for 2
From the welcome to the goodbye. This was an amazing experience. None of us drink alcohol so we were offered to try their Soft Pairings, and wow, we were not disappointed. Snacks, amuse bouche, starter to fish to main to cheese, desserts, and chocolate. This is a taste delight. I do not understand why this is not at least a 1 star restaurant.
