We accidentally placed an order at BOLTON restaurant and cancelled it just 7 minutes later when we realized it was the wrong place. The order was supposed to be ready in 1 hour and 10 minutes. At first, they agreed to give us a refund and said they hadn't even started cooking it yet, but then they called us just 30 minutes later to say it was already made, contradicting their earlier statement. The owners were rude, condescending, and disrespectful when speaking to us on the phone, and refused to cancel our order. They even tried to pass off someone else's food as ours, despite the ticket clearly stating it was to be collected much later. Save your money and avoid this establishment at all c...
We went in for a mid week meal, and had to most fantastic experience. Only recently moved to the area we have been checking out all the local restaurants. I understand that AKASH was recently taken over and the service and food was exceptional! Every mouthful was delicious, the kind of delicious when you are full and don't stop eating. Staff were very friendly and the ambience even on a quieter Wednesday night was good. We will definitely be coming back. I fear the pictures won't do it justice but the food was excellent.
I know a few people have asked for Indian food recommendations recently. We have just had a meal for 10 at the Akash and can’t recommend them highly enough. Amazing food at reasonable prices. A good selection of food including a substantial vegetarian menu (not just sides) and the fish curry was fantastic. The service was excellent, they helped us order the right number of sides and were quick with our drinks, very attentive. We will definitely be back again!
Everything about this restaurant was 5 star. The host was super friendly, the service was friendly, chatty and helpful. The food was phenomenol. The croquets devine! All of the flavours were sooo good. And it was a really nice atmosphere to dine in. Also felt the food was reasonably priced. Booked last minute while visiting the area. Turned up slightly early and were seen to our seats with no problems. Popadums were lovely, my main course was king prawns but they delivered chicken tikka, not a problem as they took it back and the prawns turned up in a few minutes. Well worth the wait as the food tasted superb. The whole meal was lovely and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
We have been dining at Akash since 1983 and are happy to report that the food remains excellent under the new management. The menu includes classic dishes as well as new and flavorful options. The staff were warmly welcoming during our visit. We look forward to returning and highly recommend Akash to curry lovers.
Tried to get a table, in a restaurant with only two people in it, only to be told “we are fully booked”. Even the two people eating started making comments saying “ must be a party of ghosts in”. After visiting another restaurant we went passed Akash an hour later and still 75% of the tables where empty.
