It is a cozy and clean restaurant. I like how they remodeled the place. Prices are about average for the type of food they serve. I had the Teriyaki Chicken. It came with a salad with ginger dressing. It was a good ginger dressing with a touch of something a little different in it than I am used to. Whatever it was, it was good. It also came with Miso soup, but I ended up trading my son for his clear broth soup because his clear broth had too many mushrooms in it for him. It had a lot of flavor to it. The chicken was served on a hot skillet with the sauce rapidly bubbling. It was a large portion of chicken with a nice amount of scallions and onions under it. The sauce had a nice consistency...
The fried calamari was just a mass of breadcrumbs that looked ridiculous, with long squiggly shapes instead of the usual round pieces. The portion size wasn't justified for the price either. The beef udon was decent, but the beef pieces were tiny, about the size of a pinky nail. Still, it tasted good. The General Tso’s chicken was enjoyable, but I could do without the pineapple, which I had never seen in that dish before. The Crab Rangoon was quite good, and the egg roll was fine, but the eel roll was mostly avocado, as you can see in the picture.
It's disappointing that this place has such high ratings. I’m just being honest; it felt like a waste of time, similar to the spot called O Town...
Aki is an excellent value for money. The portion sizes are impressive, and the food is quite tasty. I usually order the tempura, which I really enjoy. The restaurant is a bit small, but that often means it's one of the hidden gems. I can't comment much on the cleanliness since the lobby area is minimal. The staff at Aki are very friendly, making the experience even better. Overall, it's a great place to grab a delicious meal at a reasonable price.
I visited the restaurant for the first time and ordered gyoza (dumplings) along with a bento box that included miso soup, which arrived before the bento. I enjoyed the gyoza so much that I forgot to take a picture! Everything was absolutely delicious! The menu offers a wonderful variety of options, the food was of excellent quality, and the service was friendly. I highly recommend Aki and will definitely be back.

Everything was fantastic! We ordered a Sushi Party Platter, crab Rangoon a, fried dumplings, two jelly teas, and one of each of the following Bento Boxes: Beef Teriyaki, Salmon Teriyaki , Shrimp Teriyaki, and Tempura Chicken. We intentionally ordered more food than the four of us could consume, but that was intentional. We had two solid meals and there's still enough for a lunch.
Aki is one of my family's go to restaurants. The staff is always very kind and courteous. Everything is always super fresh and of course, delicious! We usually order a few sushi rolls along with the Spicy Thai mango chicken. The fried rice is always excellent too. Their entire menu is excellent. I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better Asian restaurant in the area.
As for parking, there are only a few spots available on-site, and the limited street parking along the railroad tracks is shared with an adjacent apartment building and the fire department.
Tom yam soup was excellent. Wonton soup also very good. We shared 3 rolls, spicy yellow tail, salmon lovers and the spring mountain. All 3 we're excellent flavor and presentation.Food: 5/5
