My family and I use to come here almost once a week until about a year ago, when our service was so bad we decided not to go back. We found another Sushi place to go to where the food was much better and service was good. The other day our usual Sushi place had a min. 1 hour wait and that was just too long to wait. We went 2 minutes down the road to Akita and decided to give them another try, it's been about a year maybe their food and service have improved. I called to place an order looking at their menu that they have posted on google and the total of my order is 60 dollars . They tell me total is 106 dollars.... I ask why so high and they tell me their menu pricing has never been updated so the bill is almost double! What a joke. I will order from another sushi restaurant that values their customers and can take the time to update their prices. Waste of my time.
We ordered a la carte, and the food quality was disappointing. We ordered 45 Maki rolls (they were exceptionally tiny and filled with more crispy breadcrumbs than fish. The general tao chicken dish was very chewy, I can tell the chicken was being re-cooked multiple times. The noodle dish was sloppy and flavorless. My message to the owner, take some pride in the quality of your food don't cheat people.
The manager/owner is always very friendly. He knows his regulars. What stands out for me with Akita are the servers. They noticed my girls struggling with the chopsticks so they brought over chopsticks that had the cheat fold! Awesome staff, quick food. Great quality and stays competitive.
I only got take out from this restaurant and I must say, for the cost, the sushi is awesome. They taste fresh, well made, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken and broccoli was definitely lacking salt but the sushi makes up for it. Recommended!
order via uber eats the texture and how they form the sushi rolls is very good. however, the miso does not taste good at all. it doesnt even taste like miso. the salad only had poorly cut lettuce and one cucumber... yeah what a salad.
The vibe is good. If you like to wait A LOT of time at an all you can eat place for them to bring you small portions and get orders from other tables once in a while but not get your orders at all, this is the place for you.
Absolutely amazing experience. Stella was the main hostess I communicated with. She her staff did a fantastic job making my daughter’s memorable. Food was amazing! Service is 10/10 ??. What a great experience it was !!
Food was fantastic. Lots of options! There were a dozen of us in the back room, so it got kind of warm. And it was hard to order drinks because you couldn't order through the tablet. But I'll definitely go back
