I'm super confused what everyone is talking about. Maybe because they don't have many other choices in this small town. First of all the food is claimed to be homemade and yet it is the most bland food all three of us have ever had. The hot hamburger was average at best served with frozen medley of veggies from a bag. The fish n chips were the worst I've ever had. I'm not even sure there was real fish in that very thick batter. It tasted like fish from a can. The fries are McDonalds style which I'd rather not have in a restaurant as they get stone cold so quickly. The Reuben sandwich was served with brown bread instead of traditional rye which was odd. The ketchup she brought out was frozen...
I did happened to stay over night in Swift Current and needed some food for the evening! I did visit Akropol and asked for the meny! They had many dishes on their meny! I thought, do I dare to order Halibut in Saskatchewan, it is after all sea food?I did order Halibut and smashed potatoes! The waitress suggested ordering super salad as well! When the order was completed, the waitress said, cool and walked away. I have eaten halibut three times in Canada at different restaurants! I was in for a surprise then I received my Halibut. We needed a place for dinner and didn't want fast food. This place was a short trip from the TransCanada on Main Street in downtown Swift Current. The owner is very friendly and welcoming. The Akropol Pizza (size Large) fed the four of us (2 adults/2 kids) and the service was very quick. The one thing that could be improved was the pizza didn't seem hot all the way through - maybe it's because there were so many toppings. Nice atmosphere, will stop there again!
I tried the Greek style chicken which did not taste Greek and was dry and overcooked. My husband had fish and chips which was over breaded and the chips were limp. We had searched out the restaurant looking forward to Greek food and were disappointed by the limited Greek choices. Service was good and friendly staff but food was a disappointment. Tried the lounge/outside patio side this time. The bride had the chicken skewer with Caesar salad and Pita with tzatzkiki dip she thought they were excellent . I had the Donair again with Greek salad it was also good. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Wish they served Lamb
A good, standard family restaurant. Really enjoyed our lasagna and bacon burger. Was disappointed they were out of their signature lemonade. Drink prices are high for Swift Current. Lower them a bit and this place would be packed.
Excellent food, great service, always friendly! John took over from his father's great service and learned well because we would recommend it to anyone, anytime!
Akropol special pizza was delicious. A large size was good for 3 to 4 servings. Greek and ceazar salad was also good. Will eat here everytime we stop over. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Always good service and good food. Patio is awesome and very good atmosphere! Will definitely always go back when I'm in town. Lota of items on the menu!
