Al Khayma is the best hidden secret in Illford! I had been wanting to eat Lebanese food for a while and knew there were a few decent restaurants in the city but my partner convinced me that his colleagues swore by this ‘fantastic’ restaurant in Illford but I was not convinced! However since he insisted and I wanted to eat, I begrudgingly took his suggestion and he booked us in for dinner. The place was easy to find. The male waiters came across as somewhat arrogant, as they didn’t welcome us at the door or acknowledge us when they brought the menus. Throughout our visit, we weren’t asked if we were okay or needed anything else. However, the female waitresses were much more kind and eager to help, and the food was excellent. The restaurant was quiet during our late lunch visit. I would consider returning, but it’s clear that the male staff could benefit from training on how to engage with customers in a friendly manner, instead of displaying a frown.
Inside surrounding is good. Enough space, not too much crowd. and sitting is comfortable. Quality and value of the food was ok-ish. They tried to include Service charge with the bill. so, I ask them to cancel it. Make sure you check the bill properly. We are not supposed to pay service charge without our consent. Staff was busy and hard to get them even though there were not a lot of customers inside. When we ate first time here, the service was great.
This is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy some delicious food. We visited when it was quiet, with soft music playing in the background, and sat by the windows since it was summertime. The food was flavorful and enjoyable, and our waitress was friendly and attentive, always checking in to see if we needed anything. The drinks were vibrant and appealing. I enjoyed authentic Lebanese cuisine and really loved the atmosphere. Service was excellent. We dined in for dinner, and the price per person was around £20–30.

Worst service ever , had a event there and worst experience ever , food is ok but quantity is bad , never recommend for celebrate any event.
