I was introduced to this delightful restaurant about a year and a half ago by my boss during a lunch outing. Since that day, I’ve returned at least once a month, if not more frequently. In fact, I’ve been known to order takeout for 2-3 consecutive Friday evenings... it’s that good (and very affordable)! Al-Meezan’s specializes in Afghan cuisine. I recently had one of the best spicy grilled kebabs in Mississauga. You definitely need to try their Spicy Chicken Tikka Kebab, Lamb Shank Dinner, and Waziri Kebab. Their Firni dessert is outstanding as well. This restaurant offers great value for your money and is perfect for takeout. If you're a fan of kebabs, this is the place to visit. It has quickly become my favorite spot for kebabs. I also appreciate that they serve food on real plates instead of takeout containers, as the food tastes so much better when it's hot and served on ceramic plates. For vegetarians, they offer a delicious Falafel Plate.
I have eaten in a lot of Afghan grill and shawarma places all over Toronto but Al-Meezan has the best tasting Afghan restaurant. I would highly recommend it the my friends that consider themselves foodies and are loyal to the taste. I would say their food is an experience one must have in Toronto. Too bad they don't have many more locations especially in Mississauga.
I used to be a fan of the food at this restaurant, but my experience as a paying customer has changed due to the owner's disrespectful attitude. There seems to be no consideration for customers, and the overall friendliness is lacking. I have just recently visited this restaurant to try their lamb shank. I thought this was an Indian based restaurant as EVERYTHING was spiced with Indian/Pakistani flavours. Their rice was extremely dry, the lamb was chewy with little to no seasoning. I honestly did not even want to eat what I had ordered.Big waste of money and time.
It was my first time that I got food from al meezan spicy, it was fantastic, the food was great, the service was as excellent and the price was so good, and I am so happy from this restaurant.
The food was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our experience. We arrived at 10:30 PM, close to closing time, but the staff member who took our order was very friendly and accommodating.
Dropped by for lunch. I paid $24 for a container full of rice and a dry piece of meat... What a disappointment, no one even asks if you need anything.1/10. People here are quite rude. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
