This fresh Mexican restaurant is a wonderful addition to Wood-Ridge, adding to its restaurants which are walkable from within the community. We shared a weekday special of tacos and guacamole, and I had the Cameron's Diablo from the seafood section of the menu, and it was so tasty I ordered a second additional side of rice just to soak up the habanero/chipotle/tequila house sauce. Very glad to see diversity in the food offerings in the Borough of Wood-Ridge, and especially when the latest addition is such a delicious, beautifully-adorned, friendly spot. Al Chile delivers on flavorful dishes and lively energy, making it a spot we're happy to support! However, there's one small hiccup they might want to address--volume control, especially on karaoke night. The music was so loud that our waitress had trouble hearing our order, and even our polite request to lower the volume got lost in the noise (quite literally! . That said, the food was absolutely fantastic--each dish was bursting with flavor and left us eager to return. We ordered tacos to go because we live a few minutes away and then walked in to pick it up and immediately decided to eat inside instead. The vibe inside of the restaurant is so cute and well decorated. You’re transformed to a fun restaurant in Mexico City or Cancun. We got shrimp, chicken and birria (steak) tacos. They’re made with fresh ingredients and the perfect portion at a good price. Of course topped off with a Mexican Coke. The service was likewise superb. Highly recommend.
