Fresh food and coffee! During the week the coffee shop is open and during the evening and weekends the restaurant is open. Beautiful outdoor patio seating and a refined indoor dining area. The coffee shop has stuffed croissants and other small bites to eat like grape leaves and hummus. There is a small boutique in the shop where you can buy premixed cocktails to go, wine, beer, spices, and all sorts of lovely Turkish and Mediterranean products for sale! They helped me put
One of the best places in DC. Compliments to the genius chef. Amazing food and ambiance. Thanks Sam for a super great and fast service. We were a party of 6. Absolutely overjoyed with everything. My only comment would be to do something about your portions. The hummus wasn't enough for one person. The adna was too pricey for one person only. So if you were not sharing this could get pricey quickly. Also the dessert and Turkish coffee are out of this world. Absolutely
So good! Had brunch on the beautiful patio. Unlimited make your own mimosas with several juice options and you pick one choice from each course. Everything was excellent and we left absolutely stuffed. The patio has a retractable cover which they opened when the sun became too much. You are given 90 minutes per reservation which was more than enough time to fully enjoy the meal. It is pricey, but worth it for the experience and an occasional splurge.
Food was good some dishes were wonderful, while others were very mediocre. Service was good. The Adana kabob was the star. The fried cod fish looked amazing but didn't have much flavor. The Manti had meat in it the size of a sparkle. Could only taste the dumpling. The lahmajun was amazing and so was the ribs appetizer. We had a great experience at Ala which had lots of vegetarian options. The service was great and the staff were very attentive and explained the dishes when we were ordering. The food tasted exceptional but the dips and the bread were my favourite part. The prices were on a big on the higher side but the quality of food and service makes its all worth it. We will definitely be back here soon.
My friend Jake and I went to Ala to celebrate him getting off the night shift as a PA. The Mediterranean style meal was exactly what we were looking for. The host and waiter were nice. The location was not to busy. We tried the red snapper and the lamb. I was impressed. Looking forward to coming back.
The food at Ala is pretty good. The venue is also nice, outside seating is abundant. I really thought the cauliflower was great. Along with the fish and lamb(not pictured). I'd come here if you have a good sized group and want to be outside on a nice day.
Amazing flavors! The baba ghanoush is far and away the best I have ever had. Ala isn't afraid to mix new amazing flavors with traditional favorites. The golden cauliflower is also incredible again fusing new and old to great success. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We got brunch here! Bottomless mimosa made me 70% drunk?We ordered different snack, egg, and dessert for our own and shared with each other, so that we almost tried whole brunch menu! The food is great and the environment is lovely!
