I have eaten at Alba quite a few times now. The service is super friendly and the menu is small and brilliantly executed with great ingrédients. Today i had homemade haggis which was delicious and an excellent sticky toffee pudding. Traditional but modern. Top chef I have also had amazing Sunday lunches and various meals with both friends and family, French and English. For high quality eating I put this in my top 3 with Chamade in Morzine and Le Rendez-vous in Les Gets. Not for people in a hurry as this is réal food, not rushed.
Took my mum and dad here for their last night visiting us, and (as always) the Alba did not disappoint! It was a Sunday, and there was a set menu (with a couple of options per course) which offered 3 courses for €40. Incredible value considering the food is so fresh and well put together and the portions are spot on! The service was also excellent which just topped it all off. Thanks guys, we feel very lucky to live just down the road from such a lovely restaurant
As soon as you walk in the door at Alba, you get the Alba smile. The food is great. A small but concise menu, good choice of wines and beers and the South African white we had on Friday evening was crisp, cold and hit the spot. So nice to have a restaurant with a menu that is not only cheese, potatoes and pizza. Even better that the food is fantastic and the service is friendly without being too fussy. What a beautiful restaurant/café, fantastic owners who cannot do enough for you. Certainly this damsel helped in distress when I found that there is no kettle in our rented apartment, and I was in the need of a real cup of tea, sampling will be some of their menu later in the week! amazing eating and great service. not only a great place to go when they are in town, but we will be worth a ride to try it. eating is really very special, I have eaten in stars restaurants that were only half as good as the alba.
A gem of a restaurant in the small town. Excellent food and service. Small menu of four main plates, keeping it simple but doing it well. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
