I have visited this bar many times with friends for drinks, and it’s a typical college town bar. On busy nights, it can be difficult to get quality service, and the bartenders often appear drained. Recently, I stopped by for a meal and was satisfied with both the food and drinks. I had the half salad and sandwich combo, which was tasty. The house Caesar salad came with delicious croutons and crispy garbanzo beans. The blackened salmon pita sandwich was also excellent. However, one thing that bothered me was seeing an employee use bare fingers to place tomato, lettuce, and onion on a burger, even though tongs were available. Five stars! We recently had an amazing experience at The Alchemist Barrister. Especially noteworthy was the fantastic service we received from Mo. Even though it was apparently his first week, he was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Mo knew the menu inside and out and his recommendations were spot on. I personally tried the Sliced Brisket Sandwich based on his suggestion, and it was absolutely incredible! It's refreshing to encounter such genuine hospitality these days. Thanks to Mo's excellent service and the delicious food, we'll definitely be making The Alchemist Barrister a regular spot for our family lunches and dinners. Highly recommend!!
Went on a Thursday evening after work and struggled to get the attention of a server despite the restaurant only being moderately busy. Food was more fairly priced compared to other restaurants on this street, quality was about average. I ordered fries smothered in cheese and they didn't mess that up. Nice selection of craft beers. Just mediocre service made the entire experience feel subpar. Probably wouldn't go back except for the beer.
Came here last week ordered birria tacos except instead of telling customers they ran out of ingredients they serve the meat inside of soggy pancakes and pass them off as tacos it’s almost comical and the chicken sandwich tasted like it was made with roadkill…don’t go here they lie about one thing imagine the other unwanted missing/added ingredients they don’t tell you about yuck very shady and disgusting Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The gnocchi and oyster dishes were super salty and not edible. They did remove it from the bill, which was nice. Other adult food was meh and overpriced. $20 for a plain cheeseburger?!?! The kids enjoyed the grilled cheese ... Not a place I recommend.
Typical pub atmosphere with a good selection of beers and drinks. American menu suitable for a good tasting of drinks, with sandwich options and a limited but varied number of dishes.
Great Ambience and vibe. Very good drink menu with good beer options. Spicy margaritas were watered down and does not have Jelepeno in it.
