At first site it was a winner! The hotel and restaurant has been restored to it's former glory. What a treat to go back in time and into the future all at the same time! The menu choices were unique and modern. We had never experienced this level of gourmet cooking and truly enjoyed the service and the dinner. Thank you Sam for helping us make our dinner, wine and dessert choices! This is a wonderful gen in the middle of all the busy busy! Oh! Breakfast was Awesome as well! You knocked it out of the ball park! Thank you!
Alma couldn't make it as soon as they won the Restaurant of the Year award, and after a period of silence, they have settled into a routine and have remained relatively quiet for several years. The menu features a variety of intriguing and delicious options, and we tried six different dishes recommended by our wonderful server. Everything was fabulous, and I highly recommend it; they just need to promote themselves better to let people know they are still around!

The menu has lots of super interesting and delicious sounding choices we tried 6 different things and took recommendations from our wonderful server. It was fabulous and I would highly recommend it they just need to get the word out that they are there!!!
I celebrated my birthday weekend at The Standard the day after my actual birthday, and it was an amazing experience! The potato tacos were absolutely delicious, and the dessert was fantastic as well. I tried the Blood Orange Mule for the first time, and it has definitely become my go-to drink. I loved everything about my visit—the atmosphere and the people were wonderful. I can't wait to come back!

my birthday weekend, the day after my blossom I had traveled to the standard. the potato tacos! that dessert! so delicious and the drinks the blood orange mule is mine to go and that was my first time eating loved it easy! great atmosphere and people. I'm looking forward to coming back safely.
The food is incredible, and the service from the wait staff is among the best I've ever experienced in Los Angeles. It's a fantastic restaurant that truly deserves its spot on Jonathan Gold's best of LA list.
