I had high expectations based on the ratings, but our meals this evening fell short. My heart s and had shrimp Alfredo, which was very good. I had the easy lobster dinner with fries. The lobster was plentiful but over cooked. Most of the pieces...were really chewy. The fries were crispy and good. My son ordered the lobster roll and chowder and ate very little of either. Again, the large pieces of lobster were tough to chew, and the flavour was mediocre. We also had the poutine. It was alright. Maybe we just got an overcooked lobster on an off night. We stopped here on the way back from the Hopewell Rocks. It not only is a seafood shop but also a restaurant. We ordered a lobster roll and fried clam basket fries. The lobster roll came in a nice soft bun and lobster meat...was in chunks with mayo and celery. The clams and fries were cooked perfect. They offer indoor seating or outside seating. We sat outside overlooking the bay at one of the many picnic tables provided. This place is dog friendly, has access directly to the beach, and prices are very reasonable.
There is no indoor seating at this restaurant, so you order inside and they bring your food out when it's ready. The woman at the cash register was very kind and attentive. The dining area is a covered terrace, but there were a lot of flies making it difficult to enjoy our lobster. However, the lobster itself was excellent!
We had a very relaxed dining experience outdoors at this restaurant. The lobster roll we had was the best we had all week while traveling around the province. The scallops had grit in some of them. Very unappetizing to chew on sand. The pasta was undercooked. The lobster roll was enjoyable. It took at least 50 minutes to get our order after we had ordered. Very disappointed
on our trip from ontario to the cabot we thought we would make a comparison of lobster rolls on the way. this place had no competition. delicious at a reasonable price.

In June, there are only a few places open for food in Alma, so we tried this place for pick up. The food was really not good.
We loved the lobster so much that we came back for more the next day. I appreciate being able to choose my own lobster.
