We stopped for lunch on our way to White Sands and were pleasantly surprised by Alma's. The chips and salsa were delicious and could have been a meal on their own. I ordered the BYO Plate with a crispy beef taco and gordita flautas, which were all cooked perfectly. The rice and beans were also very tasty. We also ordered some jalapeno caps to go, but found them a bit too breaded for our liking. The queso that came with them was good though. Overall, if I were a local, Alma's would definitely be my go-to diner. If I ever find myself back in the area, I'll be sure to stop by again. Service was great, meal type was lunch, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend trying the Carne Asada...
While trying to tame my lion hunger, I looked up a place to eat and found Alma 's! I ordered Beef Fajitas with rice and beans. I got exactly what I ordered and they didnt charge extra for the food being so cold. There 's nothing like eating cold beef along with cold rice and cold refried beans. Plus super cold flour tortillas! Mmmmm! Yummy! All for $19.00. It was worth the 35 minute wait! Enjoy! By the way Alma translates to soul ...the cold food made my soul shiver!
I had an amazing dining experience at this restaurant. They offer excellent food and the service was top-notch. I had breakfast there and the price per person was reasonable, ranging from $20 to $30. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a solid 5 out of 5. Some recommended dishes to try are the Fajitas, Breakfast Buffet, Enchiladas, Chicken Salad, Queso, Chicken Fried Steak, Carne Asada, Taco Salad, Chips, and Chicken and Shrimp Fajitas.

When the three of us entered, these two were at the hostess stand and did not even acknowledge us. We stood there several minutes since it was our first time here and we were waiting to be seated.
