My husband and I went out for dinner as a respite after a long week. We picked Almond because it was highly rated and we had never been there. The only positive was the staff they were very pleasant and attentive. But we were there to enjoy some tasty dishes and it was extremely disappointing. First we had duck empanadas for appetizer. It was so dry and awful that I couldn't eat it. It tasted like reheated food that had been kept for too long. My husband poured the sauce on liberally and ate it. He's not one for wasting money. Then I had the lobster spaghetti. The lobster was over cooked, rubbery and tasteless. My husband had a sausage and veal pasta dish and his was better than mine but med...
You know you're in Palm Beach when the bar has orange wallpaper with zebras ; I love the vibe here! We stopped in for date night drinks and to share a cheeseburger. The bar was surprisingly empty for a Friday night. Not sure why, but other restaurants on the same street were all much busier. It is pricey here $26 for a cheeseburger with fries but that's typical for anything you order on the island so no complaints.
It was ok. It took about 20 minutes before we even had someone ask if we wanted water. I know a lot of places are short staffed. The appetizers were excellent and came out quickly. The spaghetti with lobster has little flavor and overcooked lobster. I would go back and maybe just do appetizers but not entrees. Cool place otherwise.
Fantastic dinner spot! My sister and I were delighted with our delicious dinner. I had the crisp Vietnamese whole fish which was insanely tasty and my sister had the chili prawns which was also delightful. Highly recommend and they have great service all with a view of the beach! Casual, laid back, really nice covered outdoor patio. And the food and the service really shines! Probably overlooked amongst higher profile Palm Beach offerings but you should try it excellent quality, not stuffy or pretentious.
The French toast came out burnt black. It should never have left the kitchen like that. They offered to replace it but I was too hungry to wait. Also, we asked for additional biscuits, and they never were given to us.
Excellent newer venue on on The Way. Very pleasant staff, delicious options, bright fun atmosphere.
