We went to this restaurant on bank holiday Monday (28th Aug) after visiting both Manchester locations a few times and always having decent experiences. We dined with my wife and two sons (aged 10 and 14). I want to mention that we understand businesses need to make a profit, and we are not hesitant to pay for good food. Wow this place was amazing. From the good service to the food it was such a great visit. Our waitress sat us down quickly sorry I didn’t get her name but she had a friendly smile and brought our drinks with no worries. We orders from the lunch deal which was £10 for a choice of burger and fries. Between 12-4pm such a good deal You can pay £2 extra for sauce and crispy bacon bits on the fries which my boyfriend did. Tables were sticky and menus covered in sauce. Service dressed in what can only be described as pyjamas. Cocktails arrived and one tasted like pure lemon juice, clearly used the wrong measures. Food arrived on what looked like a plastic play set from a kids kitchen. The holes in the plastic basket meant the sauce leaked all over the table which explains the sticky table and dirty menus. Food was poor quality, tiny portions and overcooked. Disappointing. Have been before and it was great but not this time. Seen quickly by a very friendly front of house lady who said it would be 10 minutes for the table and it was. After that we were ignored despite newer arrivals being seen first and no server seeming to know what had been ordered by any table The toilets had no toilet roll or soap. Food- onions and frazzles were stale. The bill was for an entirely different table and the 20% advertised discount for blue light card was more like 16%. I didn't want to add a tip but it had already been added. We won't be back.

Studenty vibe liked the venue. Service very friendly very good. Food disappointing burger was ok fries were bit bland gluten free staff knowledgeable and aware choose of 2 burgers chicken or beef so disappointed as combinations looked great could have fries or bacon fries without the bacon!!?? Basically fries with cheese! Really disappointed tbh far far better for same price at fat hippo or bread meats bread sadly won’t be back
This restaurant is extremely expensive for what it offers, there are much better places in town for this type of food. Paying top dollar for fast food style, low quality burgers that don't even come with a side of chips is very disappointing. I would recommend saving your money and trying a different restaurant instead!
Food is great, the service charge is an annoying feature particularly as the service involves delivering the food from the kitchen and nothing much else. Took ages to get the bill and the tables are all dirty and did not see any being cleaned before the next customer sat.
This was such a costly mistake. I paid 13 pounds for a sad-looking burger that resembled roadkill. It didn't even come with fries. I will never go back here again. McDonald's is a better option and it would cost you less than 2 pounds.

Following our visit to Leeds university for their recent Open day we called into Almost Famous to see if the Burgers were as good as the reviews said. We weren’t disappointed! Well worth a visit and we didn’t have to book.
Came in yesterday for some lunch, the waitress Molly was very helpful and super friendly.. will definitely return.
