This little gem at the end of the Praettigau valley a footwalk, or horse sledge tour away from Klosters is a fabulous location to go for a fondue, local dish or relaxing time. Marcel and his crew work the whole season to prepare delicous specialties...from the region to spoil their guests. Easy going this is the place for cross country skiers in winter or mountain bikers and walkers during summer. But also for tourists who want to see the beauty of the mountains and live the silence of this secluded place and relax in the sun on the outside dining area.
we went from klosters village to this mountain jewel - ca. 7km. they can drive and only the last kilometer or so to foot. a wonderful terrace with views of the alpine landscape, great service and good food. our teens had the alplermacaroni, the men the pigs, potato...purée and veg, and the ladies of the burger with salat. all excellent. they had place to tie their horse (and to treat with any fertilizer high chairs for small and very clean lions. very nice mountain location, highly recommended.
Wir sind seit 15 Jahren hier und freuen uns auf unseren letzten Besuch (Dezember 2021): Leider entspricht der Burger jetzt nicht mehr dem, was er sein sollte, und der Salat war enttäuschend. Wir werden in ein paar Wochen nochmal versuchen, zurückzugehen, aber ich würde es im Moment nicht empfehlen. Es gab auch nur wenig Personal, aber sie sind derzeit nicht allein.
Vor Kurzem hatte ich ein kleines Mittagessen in diesem wunderschönen Restaurant. Wir spazierten im Schnee von der Stadt Klosters und waren sehr zufrieden mit der gemütlichen Schweizer Atmosphäre dieses Chalets. Der Service war ausgezeichnet, genauso wie das Essen, das wir bestellten. Der Fußmarsch hat sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt.

The restaurant managed to cater for 85 guests and every space was occupied. The meal was perfectly satisfactory three course meal with a lovely lasagne and a veggie version available A lovely Swiss salad to start. Wines horrifically expensive 50 Swiss Francs for a...bottle of plain red. The cheapest if you dared to ask was 30 SFR
Nach einem schönen Spaziergang im Schnee kamen wir in ein gemütliches Restaurant, in dem wir genau das bekamen, was wir erwartet hatten. Warme, freundliche Menschen, beruhigendes Essen und gute Atmosphäre. Was könnte man sich mehr wünschen? Wir werden bald wieder zurückkommen.

After a bicycle trek up the valley, Alp Garfiun offers a rest on the deck at the foot of the mountains and all the usual Swiss treats.
