While I stayed in Grünwald, I decided to eat lunch after a walk at the local shops in the "Alter Wirt". A great place for lunch with many indoor and outdoor seats, which this day is complemented by the beautiful autumn coloring of leaves in the trees on the outdoor tables. Service was relaxed, what my mood matched the day. The waiter brought both a menu and a chalkboard with the specials of the day. I was surprised to see that the specials overcounted the nets listed in the menu. Ich komme oft nach Gruenwald, um meine Familie dort zu besuchen, und freue mich immer darauf, im Alter Wirt zu essen. Dieses Mal kam ich mit meinem Mann auf seiner ersten Reise nach Deutschland. Wir hatten ein tolles Abendessen im Alter Wirt, und später in der Woche veranstaltete meine Mutter ihre Geburtstagsfeier in einem privaten Raum dort. Das Personal ist professionell, herzlich und aufmerksam. Die Speisekarte bietet lokale und saisonale Optionen. Hervorragende Auswahl an Weinen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Ich hatte noch nicht das Vergnügen, im Hotel zu übernachten, aber andere Freunde / Verwandte haben dies getan und sie loben die Unterkunft im Alter Wirt hoch.
A wonderful Option to be close to nature and a bit away but still well connected to the city. The room are cozy and the entire atmosphere of the hotel makes you feel at home. The hotel's staff is very kind and helpful. This is definitely a great option for families and couples who want to support the concept of Bio-Hotels at a good price for money.
Beautiful hotel! Rooms are clean and have a very nice interiors. Really enjoyed the decor of the room, such as the colourful mosaic bathroom floor. The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the open kitchen makes it possible to see how the chefs are preparing your meal. I would defenitely recommend this hotel!
