So me and my family went to Alumni sandwiches on The 28th and let me tell you. It was spectacular. One of the best sandwiches I have had in a LONG time. I had the Roasted Turkey Brie and it was to die for. My husband and step dad had the Dagwood. They LOVED it. I recommend this place if your looking for a great sandwich shop. The only thing that I would say was not up to par was that the next day we went and go some more sandwiches but we ordered them online for pick up. They were very empty compared to the sit in ones we had. So if you go, go and sit in! Much better than ordering curb side. Still a 10/10 sandwich.
I had the hot chicken sandwich. Full spice. Great portion of protein. Very crunchy and flavorful. Fast prepared. Very friendly staff. -1 star: Way too greasy as you can see on those pictures. The bottom bread is literally soaked in chili oil. -1 star: 13 dollars for a pricey burger. I?m expecting a bit more than crunchy. Maybe adding a foil wrap like Popeyes. Coleslaw is not impressive. Generally, it?s pretty good but not the best chicken sandwich in Calgary like other reviewers said.
A breath of fresh air. This quirky little place serves quality drinks and food for a very good price. The drinks were well done and their prices crush the competition. The fried mozzarella, the sandwiches and the apple pie were all amazing. The staff was nice and the bartender was very tentative. I highly recommend this as a great hangout spot and date night spot that doesn?t break the bank but provides a fun experience and good quality.
We discovered this restaurant during our trip downtown and decided to give it a try. I ordered the chicken parmesan, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of lime in every bite. It was truly enjoyable! The portion sizes and prices were quite reasonable as well. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return. Alumni Sandwiches offers large sandwiches with generous portion sizes! The retro diner vibe, combined with friendly and helpful staff, creates a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is a great value, and if you call ahead, you can conveniently pick up your meal. It’s definitely a place worth visiting. They also have a Happy Hour from 3 to 6 PM, featuring affordable beer and cocktails priced at just $4 to $5. Enjoy!
Food was really nice and a very nice diner aesthetic. The food came out pretty fast. I've got the tuna melt sandwich and I wasn't sure if I should close it like a sandwich because they gave me a fork and a knife. As you eat, it was good. The inlaid ginger was also a beautiful cut of freshness. Def recommend! Service: Dine in
If you want a sandwich fastening while in Calgary this is the point!! The service was excellent and the food was on point. I tried the hot chicken. Sandwich and Parmesan fries together with Bourbon Limonade. Will return to Calgary for the next time!
In my opinion, this is the best chicken burger in the city. The chicken burger was very balanced and not too oily from the chicken still too sour/hot from the pickles/hot sauce. The frits were also very nice, and the portion size was great. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The sandwiches here are outstanding, especially the hot chicken, which is cooked to perfection. If you enjoy spicy food, I highly recommend trying the full spice option for a true challenge! The fries are also fantastic.
