I ordered my food to go, but only received the two dishes without the drink. Since I had picked up my order from my car, I didn't realize the drink was missing until later. I was charged for it even though I never received it. When I called to inform them, they said they would issue a refund. I assumed it would be processed without any issue and didn't check my credit card statement. Fast forward a month later, when I was reviewing my credit bill, I discovered that I had never received the refund. This experience has completely shattered my trust in the restaurant. It's absolutely unacceptable.
WOW! just finished breakfast here and looking forward to lunch someday soon at our new favorite sort-of local restaurant. In an area absolutely surrounded by places to eat, Amara is a reason to brave the crowds visit Old Town. Wish there were nearer locations elsewhere in the SGValley, so I hope they expand someday. Absolutely delicious food, SUCH kind folks running the joint explaining Argentinian-style staples, and who knew that's where the best chocolate you've likely ever tasted comes from. Will def be ordering a chocolate shake next time. HIGHLY Recommended.
I love the baked empanadas. The spinach and beef empanadas were so amazing they didn't even need the salsa. Three of them are filling for one person. The plantains are fantastic on their own or with the cheese. The coffee is strong and less on the sweet side and served in generous sized mugs. The indoor seating can feel a little crowded but there is plenty of outdoor seating available.
Have enjoyed coming here to try new things! Their food has been pretty good. Especially the guava cheese pastry. Atmosphere is nice and people are friendly. Looking forward to going back to get something new. Little pricey, but I guess that's because of the location and rising costs. They have fresh squeezed orange juice which is nice. Amara's offers an incredible atmosphere and experience, enhanced by wonderful music and a friendly, accommodating staff and owner. This is exactly the kind of small business that Pasadena is known for. Treat yourself to a delicious empanada and a hot cacao latte while you're here!
Wow! I haven't had churros and chocolate this delicious since I was in Spain. So, so, so tasty! My husband also loved his corn pancakes! This breakfast truly made our day—highly recommend it!
Good spot for coffee, hot chocolate and pair it with churros. They have an outdoor seating that's a good spot to enjoy your beverage after a day of walking and shopping.

Sevice is always amazing and the food comes out excellent and timely. The restaurant is very peaceful and makes people feel right at home.
