Today I was reminded don 't judge a book by its cover... I have walked by and driven by this restaurant multiple times. I have even heard live music when walking by (at least twice) but never decided to dine here until today and I 'm so glad that I made the choice to do so.When we walked up to the restaurant, 2 men greeted us (after we were seated inside we saw that they were musicians); when we entered, I surveyed the restaurant slowly looking for signage or something to try and figure out if we should seat ourselves but as we made our way to the rear seating section, a waitress asked if we were dining in we were so she advised us to seat ourselves. Once seated she came to our table with me...
The food was delish. The band was wonderful!! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant time! The artwork is outstanding, and the artist lets you contact him to arrange pickup payment if you are interested in his work! We were a party of five and enjoyed our time there. I used to enjoy eating in this establishment however the young lady that works in the front that takes the order is beyond disrespectful and unprofessional. As I was in their today I witness her getting an attitude with the delivery girl when she tried to give her the wrong order and was in the wrong 100%. And it doesn't help she looks a hot mess work a burnt bonnet, she's literally feeding into all the negative stereotypes of a black woman. I would not support that mess.
Started eating here during pandemic via UberEats so I decided to finally come in. Service was great even tho it was understaffed. Chicken and waffles were amazing. I tried the fish and grits. Grits were good until I noticed a bug in my food. I was upset because they were so good. Fish ?. No flavor at all. I’m sad about it. The shrimp and grits was my go to online. Sigh idk if I’ll be ordering again.

This is my first time ordering from this establishment. I just received my food just now and I must say the food is really delicious. The only problem is that when I order food on your menu as separate items it does not mean to combine them together. They should have their own container.. I will definitely eat here again
The food is compared to home cooking and is reasonably priced, staff is friendly and accommodating and the ambience is relaxing and welcoming. BYOB if you wish and live Jazz every other Sunday from 11am to 2pm. No cover charge.Food: 5/5

Was in Baltimore for a weekend getaway just wanted take out. Food was ok. No wow moment. Service was questionable I Waited at the bar way to long just for someone to ask if they could help me.

Not only were half my items missing, the items I did have were disgusting. The waffle was soggy as were the fries the chicken was fried in old grease. Nothing was good.Food: 1/5
