As we enjoyed our visit 2 years ago, we specifically returned to Teruel for the Ambigu Jamonbar. What a disappointment! Food looked old and crusty. Floors were messy and it looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned since we were last there. The barmaid was disinterested that we had come back especially for this bar. She would not let us try a little of the red wine (despite explaining we would be buying a bottle or several glasses each) so we purchased one glass to try (vinegary so left it) and we promptly departed for a few of the other many more accommodating and friendly bars in the centre. Unfortunately, we will not be returning nor recommending. What a shame.
I went with my wife to eat after seeing several bars/y-o/restaurants of the area. They have a menu with a lot of variety. We asked the waiter and advised us that if we were not very hungry, we better opt for a couple of dishes from the letter. (We had already chopped something elsewhere.) we asked for wine from the area and put one that was very good. dishes are of average amount.We eat super well. and at a reasonable price.By the way, the carrot cake is delicious!
central place with menu at 15€, although something short of dishes. We ate from the letter and the very rich teruel cheeses. I said it was 4 varieties, but in the end there were three. the rest of the food is normal type rations, assembled, salads. The food is good and that's what counts. has a terrace (with supplement in the food) with parasols and the place is wide. If you go through there and it's time to eat is good for a day.
formal treatment by the staff, the ham we love, but spectacular also the cheeses and wines of the area. despite being a little late, a good deal, thank you for your good work. we go teruel with a good taste of mouth thanks to ambiguity.
