My boyfriend and I went for lunch this afternoon and we were very disappointed in the food and service. My boyfriend ordered seabass, which looked very small and the potatoes were old. We complained about the potatoes and obviously the waiter said he was sorry but he didn't offer us anything instead. When he brought us the bill, he charged us for everything, even the disgusting old fries...it's a shame because we were there last week and we could have been regulars, but after lunch today we won't be back. So next week, if they're lucky, they'll have one table instead of two. Shame on you Amico, be less greedy and serve your customers better food.
What a disappointing lunch experience. Food was disgusting. Asked for Bruschetta for Starters NOT one slice of cheese on toast with one cherry Tomato cut in half £4.50!!!! Mains Spag Bol Penne Pasta with mushrooms parmesan.. Portion were on the small size The penne was so spicy it was inedible Spag bol went straight through Hubby. Only recommendation here is cross the Road. 1/10 manager needs to learn new management skills appalling.
Tonight I visited Amico for a Christmas Dinner for Billericay Round Table amd Billericay 41 club. There were 51 of us in total and the restaurant and staff could not have been more helpful. We did pre book this. The food was amazing and served in good time. The staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Can not fault the service. Would highly recommend. Food: 5
Not sure if these people leaving bad reviews have mistaken this restaurant for somewhere else, I love this place and the staff are wonderful! The food is simply, incredible. You can pick ANYTHING from the menu here, and you won't regret it. The hardest part of visiting each time is deciding which one of my favourite dishes I have to choose over another! We booked on Christmas Eve on the off chance, we had never been before. We had a lovely meal and the staff were very helpful. I would recommend to friends and we will go back. I just want to let anyone thinking about booking this excellent restaurant know that there is currently a "closed for refurbishment" sign posted, but no information about when it will reopen. I hope the closure isn't for too long, as it’s definitely worth a visit!
