We live nearby and have never been to Amigo Joe's, so yesterday having been a lovely day we decided to walk over and sit on the patio. The patio at Amigo Joe's is awesome but be advised, they don't seat all tables on the patio, currently, because of staffing issues. Be kind the staff is doing the best they can. It worked out for us and we were seated on the patio. The hostess was lovely and our server was great, too. No complaints. The chips and salsa were pretty standard issue and they hit the spot while we waited for food. We ordered a regular margarita and a jalapeno margarita and frankly, they were the worst part of the experience. The margarita tastes like it was poured out of a bottle,...
For awhile a friend of mine has been telling me to go to Amigo Joe's, he's always boasted about the food and margs but who doesn't brag about their favorite Mexican restaurant? He was right! We've been 3 times in 3 weeks. Inside or on the patio you'll receive fast, accommodating and all around great service. I got the seafood burrito and it was amazing, large shrimp and fat peices of lobster bathed in queso and verde sauce. We got a pitcher of frozen watermelon margaritas and they were strong. Also we couldn't finish and they let me take the rest to go. Bill came out to 50 dollars for 2 adult meals a kids plate and margs which is crazy cheap. I recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal...
Everything was AMAZING! Don't let this underrated under-starred Mexican joint fool you. You are missing out if you chose elsewhere and craving some delicious Mexican with a flare. I am a huge fan of Mariachi's Mexican restaurant but the explosive flavors from each of these dishes won my family over. Definitely a must visit in Saint Louis whether a local or tourist. #stlbucketlist
Amigo Joe’s is great! The food is good, the service is always welcoming and friendly, and the margaritas are awesome (and $1.50 on Monday’s when you order an entree)! What type of world are we on when the best fried chicken in the city comes from a Mexican restaurant? The habanero brined fried chicken fantastic. The ground beef for nachos and tacos is also very flavorful.
Delicious. Fast service. Good food. They have fried chicken wings. Not my super favorite but they had a great taste. I did love their steak Mexican quesadilla. That was very tasteful. I’ll be back.
