WARNING!!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! Even if you do decide to order, make sure to inspect your receipts very carefully! I normally don't leave negative reviews, but my experience here was truly awful. I came hoping for the same quality I found at their Philly locations, which are fantastic. Unfortunately, the service at this location was dismal. We ordered takeout and they called to notify us of a replacement dish. However, when we arrived to pick it up, they hadn’t updated the receipt and tried to charge us for the original, more expensive order instead (the replacement was actually cheaper). I enjoyed a wonderful variety of options in the thali! The restaurant was clean, and the service was outstanding. The servers were very kind and checked on us multiple times. I tried both the chicken and mutton thalis, and the bread halwa was superb—it definitely did not disappoint! My only disappointment was when we were informed that only one refill was allowed, as many other places don’t have that restriction. However, they did provide us with one refill for the dishes we requested. Additionally, I would suggest using smaller spoons for the thalis; we were given large spoons and forks, which felt a bit awkward for the small bowls. Overall, a great dining experience!
This is one of our favorite restaurants in South Jersey, and honestly, one of our favorites overall. This isn't the typical Indian food you might be familiar with. There aren't many (if any) dishes that you would find at more conventional Indian restaurants, though the flavors are often reminiscent. During our most recent visit, Vardhana was our server, and she was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful in guiding us towards trying new dishes we hadn't sampled before. The dosas were absolutely delightful, crispy on the outside and stuffed with a delicious potato masala. The coconut chutney, sambar, and Masala Tea that came with them were perfect compliments, elevating the overall flavors. Throughout our meal, Vardhana, our server, ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive, finding the perfect balance. The restaurant in Cherry Hill is fantastic! They have an extensive menu, and it's hard to find authentic South Indian cuisine like this. Everything we sampled was delicious. Their dosas were cooked to perfection—better even than pizza! Vardhana, our server, was exceptional; she was very friendly and handled our order with ease. When we asked her about India, she enthusiastically shared some fascinating insights, which was wonderful.
The food and service at this restaurant are excellent. I initially ordered takeout but then noticed they have outdoor seating and chose to eat outside instead. The waiter came out with water and glasses and kindly offered us table service, despite our takeout order. He was extremely friendly. My only wish is that the mutton (goat) had more meat than bone, but that's become quite common these days.
This is a fantastic place for a quick lunch. My son and I decided to visit after he had mentioned it to me before. We shared some tikka masala and mutton curry, and for dessert, we indulged in some delightful honey balls and ice cream.
