For our entrées, we both ordered the filet mignon, which was served with a mushroom sauce. While the sauce was delightful, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were trying to mask the quality of the filet, as it had an excessive amount of fat—far too much to be considered a true filet mignon. I usually choose filet mignon specifically for its lean quality. Then it was time for dessert, and again, we were informed that two of the four options were unavailable. We dined as a group of four on a summer Sunday evening. When we arrived, the restaurant was quite empty, and throughout our visit, only a handful of other tables were occupied. By the time we left, we were the last patrons remaining. According to the staff, our experience wasn't reflective of a typical weekend night, as they mentioned that Fridays and Saturdays tend to be much busier. This quieter atmosphere allowed for exceptional service; every detail was attended to, and our needs were met without delay. This charming restaurant, which used to be a Mexican place, was a delightful dining experience! We were warmly welcomed by the friendly hostess as soon as we walked in. The tables are nicely spaced apart; ours had a lovely view of the window. I ordered the red snapper, and it was the best-prepared red snapper dish I’ve ever had! My dining companion chose the veal marsala, and he echoed my sentiments—excellent! A DJ provided the music, starting with soft background tunes when we arrived and becoming a bit more lively by the time we left. All in all, it's a fantastic new restaurant, and we can't wait to visit again!
Amore opened up about three months ago at the site of a former Mexican restaurant. The owners are trying to create an identity for it by embracing different ideas like live dancing once per month. The night I attended, it happened to be Latin night. The overall quality of the food and service is good. I brought my mother-in-law to celebrate her 66th birthday and she had a great day. this was our first time at this restaurant and it was disappointing . There was a prefixed dinner which was a bit overpriced for what we had. the service was disjointed at best. I must say though that the meal was good. Though the Tuscan soup was not hot, it was tasty, The Risotto dinner was also done well with the rice cooked just right. I enjoyed the Red Snapper special as well. At this time I would find it hard to go back or recommend it to others.
The restaurant was quiet the night we dined there. The service was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. Both the owner and the chef stopped by our table to make certain everything was fine. The Chef, who recently arrived from Tuscany, told us he would gradually be revamping the menu over the next several months. We ordered several items from the specials menu, and presuming this is the direction he will be taking, it should be fantastic.
The salmon and veal entrees were both quite good. My wife found the house wine to be particularly good. Service missed some technical marks, but was most attentive throughout. Way too much shaved ice in a drink may save money, but doesn't keep customers.
