I have been to this restaurant twice since I recently moved to town. They have a fantastic selection of beers, including a Doombar for only £2.40 - what a great deal! I ended up watching some of the FA Cup semi-final and caught the rest of the final yesterday. The atmosphere was really exciting! Hopefully, I'll get to see my team, Aston Villa, on TV next season. A big thank you to the staff for a great experience. Cheers!

Went to the anchor on the off chance this lunchtime after mooring our boat, the cheerful and helpful team were more than happy to accommodate us including one of our group who is a wheelchair user. I can personally recommend the moussaka from the specials board it was lovely! My friends all had different meals and all 7 of us were bowled over by the choice, quality and quantity on offer. Will definitely be coming back.

It's surprisingly difficult to find a good pub in Tewkesbury, but the Anchor is a reliable choice if you're looking for an affordable pint with no frills. Don't expect fancy tablecloths or napkins here - you might get a coaster if you're lucky. But with their affordable prices, it's hard to complain. Just make sure to bring cash, as they don't accept debit cards.

I waited for 10 minutes at the bar while the staff prioritized sorting out the lotto bonus ball with a regular customer instead of serving me. The atmosphere seemed to cater more towards local alcoholics, with lots of sports on TV and patrons who were barely coherent while indulging in cheese sandwiches and lager. Ultimately, I chose to leave. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Popped in here for a pint whilst visiting the area last week. Staff very chatty and pleasant. Locals were very pleasant. Beer was well priced, varied and tasty. Live footie being shown and lots of sports, a good pub. Would go back and next time take my take-away and eat iot there with a pint watching the footie.

We were planning to eat here and watch the football, which shows Sky BT Sport, but found out that there is sometimes a BBQ at lunchtime but nothing at night. You can take your own food in, but as the welcome is so good and the drinks so cheap, the food would be a great addition!!

Had the homemade cottage pie today and it was amazing! The best cottage pie I've ever tasted in a pub, by far! The staff were super friendly and attentive, especially a young lady called loz I think. Looking forward to future visits !

Went to the Anchor as it was supposed to be a great place for steak, WRONG. Have never had a t-bone so thin and the wifes fillet was an end piece and fatty.
