After having dinner nearby, I went to this dessert shop to try their tiramisu. There was a small line inside so my group waited outside until all of us could fit inside together. After reviewing their gelato case, I almost added a kids size cup of stracciatella, but decided to stick with my original plan. The service was good; one of the employees behind the counter identified who was in our group (of six) and pulled each treat from the cases for us. There are about 12 tables (most seat 4) in the establishment and my group sat together, ate our desserts and chatted. I'm not sure what the price of my tiramisu slice was but the total of all 6 items (including gelato, slices of cake, etc) came...
This is a New Orleans classic and a must visit!!! This place has some good gelato (and they have been doing gelato since way before gelato become cool) and tasty Italian ices that are great during the hot times of the year. They have great Italian cookies, cannolis, pies, and all sorts of other tasty desserts. They probably have my favorite espresso of anyplace in New Orleans and quite possibly the entire United States. The best time to visit is during Christmas when they go INSANE with so many great treats!!! We drove 8 hours from Texas to get this pastry. They make the best St Joseph's Day pastry! We sampled quite a few items while there and brought home several boxes for our friends to try. Everyone's favorite was the chocolate dipped cannoli. It travelled really well because the outer chocolate coating kept it crisp. Beautiful cassata Great strawberry cream. Delicious Gelato and Desserts here! There is usually a line coming out of the door. The bananas promote cheesecake was creamy and filled with banana flavor. The apple strudel was flocky and a perfect baker. Tge Chocolate Eclairs were also delicious! The chocolate almond gelato was rich in chocolate flavor. Brocato's offers classic Italian pastries, baked goods, and gelato in a nostalgic deli atmosphere filled with friendly faces. The service is excellent, and every treat is delicious. I've been savoring Brocato's for decades. When my daughters were little, they adored the swan cream puffs, always ordering them and taking their time to nibble them apart! It's truly a wonderful place.
Absolutely iron heaven. Authentic to the T. Everything here is absolutely delicious. Flavours of ice I have never heard of and where sooo well heard. This has completely finished our evening with this delicious selection of dessert. Omg they are sooo tasty, you have to try them to see them to get a treat today. Definitely back.
Loved the vintage vibe of the place and the menu was amazing everywhere. I had promoted the bananas cheesecake and the Glatoccino with Amaretto gelato and enjoyed every bite. My friend had something from Gelato, which was very fresh. We've read my books for a while and the vibes were great even though it was really busy.

Best cannoli I've had outside of NYC, with the classic being a mix of half chocolate and half vanilla filling and pistachios on both ends. The variety is really nice and the shell is shatteringly crisp. The tiramisu cake is also lovely.
