Food was pretty good. Got the gyro combo with fries and a vanilla shake. Nothing to complain about there. The issue is the whole meal should've been around 14-15 dollars. I get to the window and the lady tells me it's 21 dollars total, I ask her how,and she just trails off under her breath while saying how much each item I ordered was, even though the value of each didn't addup. Angelo?s was the only place we could get into for breakfast so we gave it a try. It actually turned out pretty good but the ?Greek omelet? was more like 2 plain omelettes with feta between them. I asked for well done hash browns and they were actuallygood, an enormous amount. I asked for toast and I was given 2 pieces of bread with a huge blob of butter just slapped on top. Itried telling the kid I wanted toast but it seems like he didn?t know what toast was because he kept saying this is it. Thought we would try Angelo's out since we hadn't been there before. The burger patty tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer for most of the day. The toppings and bun were fresh, but the patty made the burger fair at best. Fries were fresh, butfairly undercooked. French toast was surprisingly good. In my opinion the prices were pretty high for what we got. Therestaurant was quite dirty and ran down. Could really use a thorough deep cleaning and some fresh paint. The bathroom was extradirty and smelled heavily of urine. The staff was very kind and food came out pretty quick. But all in all I would say we willnot be going back here.

It was my first time visiting Oceanside, CA, and a friend took me to dine at Angelo’s. The food was amazing, and the portion sizes were very generous! The ambiance of the place wasn’t anything special, but don’t let that fool you! I visited one location the first time and a different one during my second visit to Oceanside, and both were fantastic. While the decor could be improved, the food more than makes up for it.
Angelo's is an Oceanside institution, and a welcome break from corporate fast food. Portions are huge, and the food is cooked quickly and is uniformly delicious. This won't be your least expensive meal, but it will be one of the best for the money. On this visit, I brought a Troop of Boy Scouts and even normally ravenous teenaged boys found that they had too much food to eat.
The taquitos were bomb. I have never had anything so light and airy yet filling and delicious. The grilled cheese my daughter had was really good too. Intended to post pics but we were starving after getting stuck in traffic for hours and the foodmagically disappeared before even getting back on the freeway. 5 stars.
Interesting spot. It was my first time. It’s big inside! And a little rugged/dated.. The avocado burger was great though! So big! And a ton of fries!! I was so full after the burger I had to take the fries to go. Will go back and try the Greek. And the breakfast burrito that the sign claims is the best.

Very good for a late evening stop (or anytime, I'm sure. Onion rings are made fresh and it's definitely a portion to share with three or four friends. The avocado burger was well built and the bun lasted through to the end. Good job. Staff was friendly.
