My friend and myself had the Christmas menu. The soup was lukewarm the main meal didn’t really have all the trimmings. One parsnip one carrot and half boiled potatoes. Turkey was not too bad the desserts were very small squares of cheesecake with a strawberry. I had made a mistake ordering white wine and not rose. So I asked if I could change it. I’m sure they weren’t happy. And when the bill arrived I was charged for the wines I returned I had to mention this. The bill came to with service charges added at the end one was for nearly my friend left a tip. We were left hungry and ended up going to a shop and buying crisps and chocolate. my friend and I decided to have an impromptu bite in the city while I checked out the edi book festival. not to book in advance on a festival weekend is a bad idea and after we haven’t found any time somewhere, we came across angel’s share. just a bit away from the main train they had a few rooms! we ordered a Sharing plate and next to each other, as none of us tied a great meal. the fungal haggis balls and smoked salmon creations were very good. the seafood package was rich, delicious and so filled that we could not find our plate. the service was fast and friendly. the decoration was also funny. juckreiz, to write home, but overall a good experience!
Loved the vibe of this place. Really cool-looking bar that made some truly delicious cocktails. Our waitress was absolutely lovely. She was so smiley and happy to give us opinions on cocktail choices when we asked. The menu seemed a bit on the pricey side but the food was very tasty. The menu mentioned a discretionary tip which we were of course happy to pay, but upon looking at the receipt after we left, it seemed that another was added on without us noticing. That left a bit of a sour taste in the mouth. Overall, a nice evening out.
Tried to book a table for drinks online and although there was no availability online, they did give the option that they would call to discuss further. I didn’t receive any call and just received an email notification to say my enquiry has been cancelled which I assume to mean that there was no availability. I’m aware that I tried to book last minute, but I do find it disappointing that the establishment can’t even spare minutes to call to let me know.

in any case one of my favorite bars in edinburgh. the place can be packed at weeks with no seats except the bar area. the highlight of angel’s share is the live band playing upbeat music. they have the standard menu for drinks. the service is fast and the server are super fun and friendly. in any case recommend for night trips.
very beautiful place. a very beautiful place where they can not only enjoy a good selection of drinks, but also delicious food. I tried the haggiswhisky who were very tasty with their wallet. two different locally brewed beers perfected the taste and this for only 22.50 !jane service was excellent and very professional.
Booked a table for breakfast and once again brilliant service! Staff are so friendly and efficient, as always. Food was delicious, cant fault it. Never had a bad experience in this restaurant, not once! Staff make your visit worthwhile, you know right away that you are in good hands.
Fantastic hotel, amazing, friendly Fantastic staff and management truly can't do enough for you. Most comfy bed, spotless, the shower is the most powerful ever. Food is to die for and cocktails best ever had. Very highly recommend. We will be back.
