Decided to just go to a steak place and eat alone. Not something I can do, but I just couldn’t leave the city not having tried a restaurant because I was alone! Read the recent reviews and realized this was going to be the place. Was hoping it wouldn’t be too busy, so I won’t be taking up too much of the servers’ time (with my zero French… I think I have been lucky throughout my stay here in Montpellier, because this place was also so accommodating and attentive. Went there as soon as they opened (made a reservation at 7PM for a 7:30 table for 1! haha , and was greeted by two very warm and caring staff members. We wondered where we could find high quality beef in Montpellier and stumbled across Angus et Bacchus, on a small side street, near the main thoroughfare of the Grand Rue Jean Moulin, which intersects with the Rue des Loges, which in turn is right off the Place de la Comédie. In other words, easy to find, if a little off the beaten path. The old world architecture and quiet atmosphere was just what we were in the mood for, and the combination of three different kinds of grilled steaks really hit the spot, served as they were with fresh vegetables and salad. There's a good wine selection here as well, and the women who run the place seem very comfortable in their milieu. We'll be back!

come with 2 friends who like me, love good meat and good wines. this restaurant deserves its name! I have rarely eaten so good meats (we traded tips with my friends) and I have rarely seen such a beautiful wine map. The service is irreproachable, the 2 ladies who hold the restaurant are very kind, smiling and good advice. I'll go back!A single flat, in case of high temperature, it's better to be ready for air conditioning at the entrance, otherwise the rest of the room is too hot.

Heb gekozen voor tartare de boeuf. Niks op aan te merken. Vlees van goede kwaliteit. Begeleidende ingrediënten om zelf te mixen redelijk sober gepresenteerd. Fritten waren in een soort olie gebakken. De smaak deed mij denken aan iets zoets van de kermis. Bediening was vriendelijk al heb ik wel lang moeten wachten alvorens ik werd opgemerkt. Aangerekende prijs was correct. We have lunch with my friends a weekday. The service is fast. The meat is of quality and the presentation of the dishes is treated. the most I think is a wine map with references essentially of the tonguedoc roussillon. If you're an amateur you're going to love, and for the uninitiated you can't be mistaken.

We came for a romantic dinner and we were blown away by the quality of the food, especially the meat. The presentation of the dishes were amazing and modern, the menu is well though off and original ! The staff were so lovely and helpful. One of the best restaurant in Montpellier, I highly recommend it !
