Yesterday, my friends and I sat at this restaurant and ordered dosa and idlies. As we are all originally from South India, we were disappointed that the food did not meet our standards. It was clear that the chef was not from South India. Maybe we will try her chaat variety another day. However, the service and the restaurant itself were tidy and clean. We were able to hang around there for a long time without any issues.
The spicy lung here is amazing. If you enjoy crispy and lightly spicy dishes, you must try the champagne chicken. The chickpea needle fry is extremely tasty and stays fresh for a long time. However, the food prepared in the kitchen was not as good as the one on Devon Street. The idly I ordered for takeaway turned hard once it cooled down, and the lentil soup was disappointing.
I had the only sweet plate with chana masala and was happy with my order. very good taste depth, and the staff was super on vegan options to know. all vegan options are also marked on the menu, and there are many of them! I would like to have seen a vegan dessert or something along these lines. otherwise I was quite impressed!
I was here for the first time and eating was really amazing. Indian eating itself is usually expensive, but this fast to pure veggie restaurant was really affordable and decent price. the service was fast and the part of the food was great. The atmosphere was extremely cold and lacking in personality. We regretted choosing this place in Schaumburg through New Delhi. The food was mediocre at best, and it seemed like the staff was annoyed that we were there. For a more authentic and attentive experience, they should go to New Delhi.
We had dosa for lunch here. They serve good vegetarian food and the service is also pretty good. We also had Gujarati Thali for lunch and loved the Potato Sabzi and Dal.
we were the only non-Inders. I chose two vegan dishes and my man made a vegetarian choice. we both came filled with delicious. very recommend the daal makhani, so good.
