We have only eaten at this restaurant once in the past two years, as our first experience was poor. However, we have been frequenting the bar, spending around £30 per month. Unfortunately, we recently received a £100 parking fine from the restaurant's car park. We had mistakenly parked in the parking area shared with the estate agents next door, believing it was allowed. Due to this incident, we have chosen not to dine at this restaurant anymore.
What an amazing find! Not only is the owner so passionate about the incredible building and its history the range of food and drink is next level. We ate like kings and queens, huge portions but each item was of the highest quality, locally sourced and executed perfectly. We would come back in a heartbeat
Great place, had lunch here tried Fryday menu, very nice, best chunky chips I've ever had. Would happily have platefull of those on their own!. Doggie friendly and not just a sign to get people in, they actually fussed and gave water and treats. Very cosy and friendly, with excellent beer too.
Called for a drink and lunch whilst on a weekend away in our Campervan. Had nice pint and the seafood basket and homemade burger, both very nice! Dog friendly too Would be nice to see a bit more about the history of the pub on display. Would call again Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Charming atmosphere and welcoming staff. Just note that the restaurant is closed on Mondays, including Bank Holidays, which is a bit of a letdown considering their beautiful beer garden. The new menu offers a variety of delicious vegan options.
First time here it was Christmas, so busy. Bar staff were good, and prices very reasonable. Went with a bunch of people and everyone enjoyed. Didn't eat, but heard good things, will probably pop back for a Sunday lunch later this year.
Great pub in Melton with free parking. The menu had good choice without being too big, and the staff were friendly. The food was excellent the white bait was particularly delicious!
