Sweet baby Jesus! Ok, so I drive past this place all the time but found it by accident... I was sitting in Copper Canyon drinking Peartinis at the bar. I wanted something to eat but knew it had to be GOOD! So, of course, I went on Yelp. I saw Annie Mae's had over 4 stars so I read the reviews... also good, so we decided to try them out since it was on the way home. When we entered, we were immediately welcomed. We order catfish, chicken tenders, the shrimp po' boy, red beans and rice, cole slaw, and black eyed peas. Everything was incredible! The po' boy rivaled any one from Bourbon Street. The food was well seasoned and fresh. Did I mention that we only spent around $35 for three people????...
Stumbled upon this gem. Ordered The catfish platter with mac and greens and the catfish and shrimp for my husband. The food is affordable and was piping hot twenty minutes later. I was thoroughly impressed. You can taste the love in every bite and their tartar sauce complimented the fish very well! Immediately I went to my mom's home to share such a wonderful meal. Yes, there's enough to share. I LOVE THE FACT IT IS BLACK-OWNED. THEY ARE VERY POLITE AND THE OWNER CAME OUT AND PERSONALLY THANKED US! ??
Oh my gosh, everything was delicious. I ordered the pulled pork, greens and Mac and cheese with hush puppies. The pulled pork and greens both had a bit of smoke flavor. Pork was not swimming in barbeque sauce and was flavorful. I will definitely order from here again.
We love Annie Mae's. The fish is delicious and the side have been really good this past visit. Please do not judge this book by its cover. Support your local black owned establishments. The owners are welcoming and will have your food ready in no time.

Excellent customer service!! Our favorite spot to go for fried fish, hush puppies and shrimp po boy!! Fresh food, hot, not greasy and cooked to perfection!You definitely have to order from Anna Mae Cafe you will love it :
Came 2 this great establishment again 2day. Fried Croacker dinner (fried hard) double greens and a side of okra. Forget about slappin yo mama this is great grandma slaps right here. Keep up the good wrk. 10 ? 's
