Omg Me and my family have only been living in Capitol Heights,Maryland for a few months and we been searching for a Good Soul Food spot and We definitely found that here at Annie Mae's ..My husband and I had the Fish(catfish) Shrimp (seasoned just right) dinner with Mac Cheese and Cole Slaw ..I don't usually eat Cole Slaw but wanted to try it and Glad I did it was very good as well as the rest of the food ...I asked about sweet potato pie and they gave us 2 to try out omg the pie was Hit as well lol ..We will definitely be back again ..Customer service was great as well ..Keep doing what y'all are doing there
This place may look a bit unassuming, but the fried fish was the best I've had in a long time. The portion sizes are enormous for the price, and I agree with the other reviewer that prices should be raised considering the quality and quantity of food. The fish was fried to perfection, the corn was crispy, and the hush puppies had just the right amount of sweetness. The mashed potatoes complemented everything perfectly. I can't believe it took us so long to try this restaurant!
We absolutely love Annie Mae's! The fish is incredibly delicious, and the side dish we had during our most recent visit was excellent as well. Don't judge this place solely by its appearance—it's important to support local Black-owned businesses. The owners are friendly and will have your food ready in no time!
I visited this amazing restaurant again today. I had the fried croaker dinner (fried crispy), with double greens and a side of okra. Forget about "slapping your mama"; this is the kind of food that’ll have your great-grandmother impressed! Keep up the great work. 10/10!

They are closed! Unfortunately, they are no longer in business! I'm really sorry to see them go! I'm not sure how long they've been closed, but I will definitely miss them!
Everything was absolutely delicious! The food was hot and fresh! It was my first time trying this place, and I would give it a perfect 10 out of 10!
The food is consistently great! I'm looking forward to the chicken being back in stock soon. The red beans and rice remind me of my mom's cooking!
