As an expat in Barcelona I've tired of the luxury food fads of the last 20 years around here. It seems that every place is trying to be more that it really is. But exactly the opposite is what I love about the Antic Celler: it's much more than it seems. Josep and his staff are skilled, honest and unpretentious in their approach to wine and food. The food was amazing! Prawn and garlic tapas were fabulous, and patatas fritas were served with two delicious sauces. Food might not be for faint-hearted, but it tastes very nice, and the lad who served us was helpful, even tho he didn't speak English. He just took his phone out and translated everything. The climate inside is very nice too, we were here on Monday evening and it we were only customers, but that just makes it easier to order food.
Had three tapas with white wine as recommended by waiter. Wine has a sparkling taste to it and is good. It 's a Chardonnay. Bottle has word 'Clar ' on it. Following tapas in order of my preference: 1) tuna stuffed in bell pepper 2) foie gras 3) smoked ham with tomato bread (I 'm not so into smoked meat but my husband loves it) Great food and service! Value for money. Restaurant is in an alley off the main road. Lots of locals visit it.
In a small street in Cornella we found a place, which we will never forget some of the best food we have ever tasted and great catalan red wines. The homemade Foie Gras was second to none...We left the place very happy.

Very nice tapas bar and wine bar. The staff were very helpful in assisting me as I'm no expert on tapas and have a picky diet regime. Very nice wine, local and very reasonably priced €2.80 per glass).
