I want to start off by saying that this restaurant is a true dive bar, in every sense of the word. If you go in with the understanding that this is a dive bar, you'll understand where the rating comes from. They offer inexpensive drinks and food, have staff with strong Pittsburgh accents, and a great atmosphere - if you can overlook the cigarette smoke. The cheese logs are homemade, the burgers are cooked well, the drinks are potent, and the pizza is delicious. It's not a fancy place like Altius, and it's not trying to be. It's perfectly imperfect, just the way you'd want a dive bar to be.
Ordered...tenders, wings, steak hoagie. Took 1 hour to bring to us. Had to leave at that point. Credit card slips came out messed up and couldn't see the total correctly. Wasn't compensated in any way...had to pay for everything. Wings had wrong flavor. Tenders were plain and ordered mild. Horrible experience. This is a BAR...not a cafe. Misleading!
I have only tried the wings and fried provolone appetizer at this restaurant. The wings are really delicious! The provolone is made with real cheese, breaded fresh and fried, not a frozen cheese stick. The marinara sauce could be improved, but it's not terrible. Definitely worth trying out!
We got the fish sandwich meal. Fish a pinch overdone but good. Thank goodness we didn't eat there though. It was so smokey I couldn't believe it. There appeared to be a smoke eater; I guess it's old and doesn't work since it obviously wasn't on?? Needs ventilation ASAP Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
A restaurant like this should have a warning sign instead of a 4.5 star rating. It allows smoking, which can be off-putting for some diners. Additionally, the service and food quality are subpar. I do not recommend dining here.
Well my father always used to bring back food after work back in the 1980s , when he worked for Allegheny Airlines . . Always had some great stuff !
