I have dined at this restaurant several times and usually have a great experience, enjoying prompt service and delicious food. However, during my most recent visit, my wife and daughter were not completely happy. We only saw our waitress once during the hour and 45 minutes we were there, and it seemed like she became overwhelmed when a family with three tables arrived. We went about 30 minutes without drinks or any check-ins. Aside from this one incident, we've always been satisfied with our visits. I don't think the waitress was entirely to blame—she had a lot on her plate—but better prioritization could have significantly improved our experience.
Awful experience! The bartender didn't seem to know how to make drinks, and the mix they used was excessively sweet. I was disappointed with the limited-time coconut-strawberry margarita. I also ordered an 8-ounce steak, but it was not cooked medium-well as I requested. This was unacceptable, and I had to send it back! It seemed like either the server grabbed someone else's steak or the cook doesn't know how to prepare it correctly. I won’t be going back to Applebee's.
My entire family—my husband, our adult son and daughter, and I—went out for an early dinner this past Wednesday. Our waitress was exceptional and very kind, especially considering my husband's recent throat cancer surgery and his tracheostomy. Our son visits your restaurant more often than he enjoys home-cooked meals, and he genuinely loves both the food and the service. Thank you very much!
If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I definitely would! I ordered two platters of Bourbon Chicken and shrimp, but one platter arrived with the chicken and shrimp completely charred, while the other had burnt chicken and no shrimp at all. I want to commend Applebee's for their Veterans Day promotion! I visited for lunch recently and was genuinely appreciative of the complimentary meal, the special menu, and the kind older gentleman distributing coupons to veterans. It was clear that they made a heartfelt effort. Due to this experience, I plan to bring my family here more often.
My family and I tried the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp, the Southwest Chicken Bowl, and the Crispy Chicken Tender Salad, and we enjoyed every single dish! Each one was exactly what we were in the mood for. I also had a strawberry colada smoothie, which was perfect for such a hot day!
I'm not entirely sure why Applebee's gets a bad rap; we always have a great experience dining there! The food, service, and prices are all excellent. Maybe it's just because it's a chain restaurant.

The honey barbecue chicken was clearly undercooked. I tried the honey BBQ grilled chicken from Applebee's Riblets.
