I was visiting from London and found this superb delicatessen by chance . I bought some specialty cheeses and Italian vegetable seeds to grow in the Spring. The cheese was very fresh and even more delicious than I’d hoped , and I will look forward to growing the vegetables next year as a happy reminder of my visit to this lovely shop . It easily rivals any of the best delicatessens anywhere in London and as a discerning gastronome, I was honestly in seventh heaven here . The 2 ladies behind the counter were very knowledgeable and so friendly and helpful . It broke my heart when, as I was waiting for my order to be wrapped , I witnessed a male customer treating one of the female servers appal...
I was looking for some Shrewsbury Biscuits, and Appleyards was recommended. What an amazing delicatessen! Such a great selection. There were so many different types of cheeses there. I wish it was located near where I live. I would be a regular visitor!
If you enjoy food then this is a MUST! Where else are you going to get Speck for your Austrian cooking? Or such delicious Pastrami? Plus wide range of cheeses and Spanish Italian delicacies. We heartily recommend this shop.

Lovely cannolis previously I bought Roma seeds and with the lovely sunshine are looking great All the staff are friendly and patience they need to be with me so when I read a negative review I must disagree
Everything you could ever want or need, the cheese selection is out of this world, pate, sausage rolls, pork pies, pasta, the list goes on and on. A must for everyone.

This is a great place for studying and a cup of coffee, and conversation, but as for the rest of the menu, Ventana fell short for me.
