I ordered the maharani burrito. the description says it has sawed rice, chana and lentil soup with special sauce. in reality it was only sawed rice with 3 lonely garnozos and 2 tiny shredders of salat wrapped in a tortilla. the website makes it stylish, but it is a small cafeteria in a medical building. I would have given 1 star, but happy cow makes them at least 2 stars for all veg restaurants. updated by previous review on 2022-04-28
try well, but do not get the famous maharaja burrito when you are hungry. it's just an aromatized rice brarito. spent $28 on 2 burritos and a chai and we have still starved. they do not come to the atmosphere, no seats inside and there is a table outside, but they are classified by the huge loud A/C. but here they eat definitiw, super tasty. they eat with protein in it.
fill, tasteful, fresh ingredients and a lot of vegan options. this place is def a go-to, when I had on this side of long beach. had two burritos and the mushroom soup (which was a standout insurance!) the burritos are heavy on the rice, so I recommend "prove it a meal" with one of their sides and add avocado/asking for extra pico.
This is place is so good! Healthy vegan and vegetarian options. I'm so excited I found it! You must try it. The location is hidden behind a medical building and there's no dining in options but there's a small patio. I would recommend ordering online.The staff was super friendly and welcoming. my experience was very kind when I picked up my food. when looking at the menu I was very satisfied with all the options and had a hard time to choose a vegan one cuz, they all looked good. large Indian taste and happy to have choices that were healthy and not soy based as many vegan options.
Appu’s Cafe is the place to be for amazing great food!!! The service is second to none and the atmosphere is a cultural experience. I strongly recommend all go and meet Chef VR and his incredible team and be enriched by their great food and good will. Perhaps I’ll see you there!
Don’t let the nondescript location fool you. This is a restaurant with huge flavors and amazing food. Come ready to enjoy a great meal and friendly conversation with Appu. This was my first time here but I’ll be back ....and I’m bringing friends!!
