We stayed in a nearby village, and noticed this creperie on the way there. It took us a couple of days to find our way to this place for lunch, and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is modestly decorated but is well complimented with various pieces of artwork around the walls. The menu is mainly savoury and sweet crepes, as you'd expect, but there's a very wide variety and every one was freshly made and delicious - we even returned another day to sample more of the menu! The food is excellent, but paled next to the attentive and welcoming service of the owner. If you like crepes and you're in the area, I recommend you try this place - it's a real gem.
€12.50 per head gets you are very good 4 course meal including wine and coffee. No choice of starter or main course but what was provided was of good quality and prepared with care. The starter was a large portion of coleslaw and the main course a tasty turkey stew in a spicy sauce. The fromage was a welcome bonus and the wine and coffee made it excellent value. Service was attentive, informative and friendly. Credit cards taken, ample parking and overall a very pleasant place to dine.
we stopped for lunch and were reminded of arthur eperon rat over eating in france. the vadalen certainly lived up to its nofrills excellent worth eating. I had the menus of the day and my wife had crepes. the food was well presented and my 4 curs meal came with wine and coffee and at 13 euro was a great value. I would certainly recommend this for lunch and was only disappointed that I had not had enough time to see an evening again. well done to the hardworking employees.
we have here four times during our stay in the opposite, all meals at midday. the set menu was well presented, well prepared and very tasty. two of our party also chose from the crepe menu. the waitress was very friendly and helpful, as our knowledge about the French language leaves much to be desired! the set menu was four cousins and contain wine or apple wine and price on 13 euro. we arrived at the opening time as the restaurant was filled very quickly.
Whilst there's only crepes on the menu, the choice is extensive. Family favourites are the Bubry and Paysanne and undoubtedly one or both chosen on every visit. Choice of sweet crepes whilst not as extensive includes my favourite, apple and salted caramel , a sweet to die for. Service is always excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Cold draft cider served to accompany the meal. Always on our to visit list when over.
We enjoyed a fab lunch here. Kids (4&2) loved the little Wendy house and toys as well as the crepes which meant we really got to enjoy the delicious menu du jour on their little terrace at the front. 2 hours flew by can't remember the last time that happened in last 4 years! excellent value and friendly helpful service
