Arabesque Cafe is an absolute gem in Toronto! The owner is incredibly sweet and welcoming. What sets this place apart is its simplicity – with a concise menu of no more than 10 items, they 've focused on perfecting what they do best.The Middle Eastern cuisine here is outstanding; every dish is a delightful experience. The owner 's dedication to offering the best is evident in every bite. And to top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary baklavas that were simply divine.Don 't leave without trying the Blood of the Pigeon tea – it 's an absolute must! Arabesque Cafe is, without a doubt, one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto. A five-star experience all around.
What a charming hidden gem in the neighborhood. The restaurant is run by a kind elderly man who makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. If you're lucky, you may even get to enjoy some live music from his pet bird. I ordered a coffee and was pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary baklava to enjoy. Each table had a newspaper, adding a cozy touch to the experience. The coffee was excellent and served in a vintage teacup. The baklava had the perfect level of sweetness, prompting me to order more to share with friends later. I can't wait to come back and try their sandwiches. The place seemed popular with locals looking for a quick bite to eat.
Love the charm of local college street Arabesque Cafe I've only had the Falafel wrap (tea and baklava on the side) and it is tasty, fresh, and big! Also very affordable. Love that this cafe has a NO LAPTOP rule, so the vibe stays CAFE and not OFFICE! You can sit in the sun, read the newspaper provided, sip tea, snack, pick up some in-store groceries like fig jam and Turkish Delight, and not worry about being bothered to rush along. Lovely service and a great community spot to just read and pass the time......
Not too flashy, but certainly with curb appeal, stained glass borders its big picture windows. The idea of soothing tea or coffee was welcome on a blistering cold day. We walk in and the cafe has a soothing, cozy and relaxed ambiance. On each round concrete table, newspapers were folded neatly and a row of magazines line the window. I assume the owner encourages patrons to sit for a while and take comfort on a hot beverage.
We stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to stop for a quick lunch. What a delightful surprise! The atmosphere was cozy and the staff was friendly. The kebab, falafel, and desserts were all delicious, and the coffee and tea were excellent, especially considering the very reasonable prices. We highly recommend this place.
